What PricePer Canada collects, why it is used, where service providers are involved, and the choices available to visitors.

Privacy in plain language
PricePer Canada is a comparison service. You can browse without creating a public account. PricePer collects only the information needed to operate the site, review submissions, understand searches, secure administrator access, and diagnose problems.
PricePer does not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers. When production analytics is enabled, PricePer uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand public page traffic and web performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data.
Information you provide
- Product and price submissions can include a retailer URL, category, observed price, store or location, notes, and an optional email address.
- The submission record also stores a hashed version of the submitting IP address, browser user agent, and the referring page so abuse can be limited and reports can be reviewed in context.
- Location entered into a comparison is used to tailor that request. Postal-area or city values can also appear in a shareable page URL.
Searches, sessions, and logs
- When you search, PricePer stores the search text, filters, result count, a session identifier, and a hashed IP address to understand demand and improve the catalog.
- When you follow a retailer link, PricePer records the selected price and retailer, destination URL, click time, session identifier, keyed hash of the IP address, and browser details. Duplicate clicks on the same offer are suppressed briefly so the launch dashboard measures shopping intent more accurately.
- First-party session and security cookies keep forms, sessions, and administrator authentication working. The server-side session record can include a session identifier, raw IP address, browser user agent, account ID for signed-in administrators, activity time, and session data. These are not advertising cookies.
- Application, web-server, Forge, and Cloudflare security logs can contain request time, IP address, requested URL, browser details, and error information.
Privacy-conscious analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures public page views, visits, page paths, referral hosts, broad device and browser categories, country-level location, and real-user performance metrics. The integration does not set analytics cookies, fingerprint visitors, create advertising profiles, or track visitors across unrelated sites.
PricePer does not load the analytics beacon on search results, product-submission forms, or price-reporting forms. Search demand and submissions are handled separately as described above. If PricePer changes analytics providers or begins collecting additional analytics data, this policy and the consent approach must be reviewed before the change is enabled.
Administrator authentication
Public visitors do not sign in. Authorized administrators can use account credentials or Google sign-in. Google provides basic profile information and a verified email address, which PricePer uses to match an existing administrator account. OAuth state and access tokens are used during sign-in and are not stored as permanent profile fields by PricePer.
Google's own privacy terms apply while using Google sign-in.
Service providers and external links
PricePer's production infrastructure uses Cloudflare, Laravel Forge, and DigitalOcean to deliver, protect, host, and operate the service. When enabled, Cloudflare also receives the Web Analytics beacon described above. Error-level application and worker failures can be sent to a restricted Slack alert channel for operator response; those alerts can contain an error message, stack trace, request URL, account identifier, and related diagnostic context. Slack retains that information according to the workspace's access and retention settings.
The public layout can request fonts from Bunny Fonts, product images from retailer or content-delivery hosts, and, when enabled, brand images from Logo.dev. Those providers receive normal web-request information such as your IP address, browser details, and potentially referrer information.
Retailer and affiliate links pass through a signed PricePer redirect that records the click as described above, then take you to another site. That retailer receives the request and applies its own privacy policy. PricePer does not control the retailer's cookies, checkout, account, or payment processing.
Personal information may also be disclosed when required by law, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or to protect the service and its users.
Retention and safeguards
PricePer currently retains submissions, search records, retailer-click records, administrator records, sessions, and security logs for review, operations, security, legal obligations, and improving the service. Because PricePer is in beta, it does not yet have a fixed automated deletion period for every record type.
Access is limited to authorized administrators, and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Email is optional on product and price submissions. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not add an analytics cookie to disable; you can block JavaScript or requests to Cloudflare Insights in your browser. You can limit first-party cookies, but forms and administrator sign-in may stop working.
You may ask what personal information PricePer holds about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. PricePer may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
